I have to share an embarrassing secret here: I sweat- a lot! When I was working as an esthetician, I would be in a small steam filled room for hours at a time- in Florida no less! It was unpleasant. I was using the strongest deodorant out there and it still wasn’t good enough. And we all know that the aluminum is not good for you. That’s when I discovered the world of natural deodorants. I tried so many store bought and diy methods that did not work, until I customized a few to make my own version that has helped immensely! Check out my super easy diy deodorant recipe!
1/4 cup coconut oil
1-2 tablespoons baking soda
1 teaspoon corn starch
1 teaspoon Palmers Cocoa Butter with Vitamin E (Note: I added this because the baking soda can be a bit harsh to the area and this helps to counteract and nourish!)
Combine coconut oil and cocoa butter in small bowl. It should be a bit lumpy and look like this:
2. Microwave until melted. The cocoa butter won’t fully liquefy, but it should be soft. Add the baking soda and cornstarch. If you would like to scent it, you can add up to 10 drops of essential oil. Stir until everything is dissolved, and it should look about like this:
